A rectangular platform is easy to put on a drawing. The surrounding work area can be harder to explain. When a customer asks about a cast iron welding table, we want to see where the operator stands and how the component reaches the bench.
Our range includes a 3000 × 1500 × 200 mm configuration, along with circular, irregular and alternative sizes. Those options become useful when the outline needs changing around a particular job. A request for a smaller corner, for example, needs a position and dimensions before it can be turned into an agreed shape.
We ask customers to put the component and the proposed platform on the same sketch. Include the tooling that projects beyond the edge. An outline that looks comfortable around the bare part may leave little room once a clamp handle is closed.
The enquiry for a custom cast iron welding table can include photographs of the intended workstation. They help explain nearby equipment, while the drawing supplies the measurements that a photograph cannot reliably show.
Custom manufacture averages two to three weeks after drawing approval. Before that approval, the outline should be clear enough for both sides to read without guessing. We would rather resolve an uncertain edge on paper while there is still time to change it and review its effect on daily access.
